In the warm weather a young person's fancy turns to ... automobiles! Street Rod or Hot Rod we want to put the top down and cruise just to feel the wind in our hair, and very young people are no different.
This year the Second Annual Clinton Twp Cruise featured pint sized cars (pedal cars) as a special feature.

In August 2004 about 20 miles northeast of Detroit, Michigan the suburb of Clinton Township held its second annual Gratiot Cruise. Here in southeastern Michigan several communities host a "Cruise".  What made the Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise stand out to us as pedal car collectors was their use of pedal cars. This Cruise featured a pedal car parade and pedal car races.

The cars used were new reproduction models sponsored by various businesses in the area.

Although the pedal cars were reproduction cars, rather than the vintage types collectors favor, the interest with the pint-sized autos continues to draw attention to the cars near and dear to our hearts ... the true vintage pedal cars! Certainly we would have liked to have seen a variety of authentic vintage pedal cars at the "Cruise", however the truth is the kids would not have had as much fun!
